Chili in a Slow Cooker

Needed at Time of Preparation:
1½ lbs. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
½ tsp. garlic powder
14½-oz. can of diced tomatoes
2 5½-oz. cans V8 juice
1 Tbsp. chili powder
Pinch of red pepper flakes
Preparation Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients into a gallon-sized ziplock bag, crumbling the beef as you put it in.
  2. Remove as much air as possible and seal bag.
  3. Label the bag with the information below, then freeze.

    Serving Suggestion: This pairs well with cornbread.


  1. Thaw bag completely for 24–48 hours or more.
  2. Empty contents of freezer bag into crock and stir, breaking the ground beef apart a bit.
  3. Cover and cook at least for 6 hours.
